Sleep Sage

Turn your notes into short spoken study cues

Upload your slides or notes and Sleep Sage picks out the key terms. Each one becomes a short spoken cue, and at bedtime your Android phone plays them quietly while you fall asleep.

Continue on the web

Use Sleep Sage in your browser, with nothing to install. Sign in or create a free account, then upload your notes and make your cues.

Download the Android app

The app does everything the web version does, and also plays your cues at bedtime. Sign in with the same account and your cues are already there. It is about 125 MB and comes from this site rather than the Play Store, so Android will ask you to allow the install.

There is no iPhone app yet. You can still use Sleep Sage on the web, but bedtime playback needs an Android phone.

How it works

  1. 1. Upload your notes

Add slides or notes as PDF, Word or text files, up to 25 MB each. You can add several at once, and each file becomes one lesson.

  2. 2. Get your cues

Sleep Sage finds the key terms in each lesson and makes a short spoken cue for each one, without you doing anything. If you would rather choose the terms and check each cue yourself, turn on Customise.

  3. 3. Play them at bedtime

On your Android phone, tap Play tonight, choose how long and how loud, then tap Arm for tonight before you go to sleep. The cues play quietly for the time you chose, then stop.

What Sleep Sage is not

Sleep Sage is a study tool, not a medical device or health service. It doesn't diagnose or treat anything, doesn't track your sleep, and makes no claim about sleep, memory, learning or test results.

Your privacy

The file you upload is deleted after processing, usually within two hours. The text taken from it is kept only to make your cues: until you tap Done, or for 7 days at most. To find the key terms and make the speech, the text is sent to AI services; the privacy notice explains which kinds of service and how long they keep it.

A free public test

Sleep Sage is in a free public test for people aged 18 or older who live in Australia, run by the Sleep Sage team. As a test it may have outages or lose data, so keep your own copy of your files. The test ends on 31 December 2026.

Questions

What's the difference between the web version and the app?
The web version runs in your browser on a computer, tablet or phone. Use it to upload notes and make cues. The Android app does the same and also plays your cues at bedtime. Both use the same account.
Is there an iPhone app?
Not yet. iPhone users can use the web version, but bedtime playback needs an Android phone.
Do I need an account?
Yes, a free one with your email address. Create it on the web or in the app; the same account works on both. You can download your data or delete your account in Settings at any time.
Who runs Sleep Sage?
The Sleep Sage team. Sign-in on this site is only for Sleep Sage accounts, and we will never ask for your password for any other service.
